 Netflix has just released the final trailer for “Rebelde”, the new adaptation of the Mexican franchise with a completely different story, where the new generation of Elite Way School students will have to demonstrate their musical talent in order to win the anxiety Battle of the Bands

However, not everything will be new in this version, since it has been confirmed that it will have the participation of Estefanía Villareal, again playing Celina and Karla Cossío, who returns as Pilar Gandía, one of the former students of the Elite Way School.

The story will take us to the new group of freshmen, who will try to find the best members to form their own bands while a secret society (the lodge) seems to be back in the EWS to thwart the musical aspirations of the new students.

Rebelde (English: Rebel) stylized as REBƎLDE is a Mexican reboot teen drama television series based on the Mexican telenovela of the same name (a remake of Argentine telenovela Rebelde Way) directed by Santiago Limón. The series premiered on Netflix on 5 January 2022.

In March 2021, production began in Mexico City. In May 2021, actor Sergio Mayer apologized to his cast and followers after his controversial statements in which he admitted hating the RBD band, a project which he is involved.

Rebelde has finally dropped on Netflix, and viewers love the new reboot. Many of us stayed up late to binge-watch all eight episodes and are hoping for more. So will there be a Rebelde season 2?

Rebelde is a Mexican teen drama series that premiered on Netflix on Jan. 5. Although it’s considered a reboot, it’s really not. Instead, it’s a continuation of the 2004 Mexican telenovela titled the same name. The characters in the new series are in the same universe as the telenovela.

It follows a new generation of students attending the prestigious Elite Way School as they try their best to win the Battle of the Bands to become musical stars. But, of course, the teens have their own personal struggles while trying to navigate friendships and love. It doesn’t help the students of EWS have a familiar threat called the Lodge trying to stop them from reaching their full potential.

There is only one season of Rebelde and all eight episodes of the first season are available to stream on Netflix.

Will there be a Rebelde season 2?

Hopefully! Unfortunately, Netflix did not give this original series an early renewal announcement. This was expected, seeing as though this is a new series and all. So the fate of this show is currently up in the air. It all depends on the viewership numbers. If enough people watch the first season, there’s a good chance the show will be renewed.

We’ll most likely have to wait at least a month before hearing Netflix’s decision. However, there could be a longer wait. We’ll update you when Netflix makes a decision.
