Guillermo del Toro's new film is based on William Lindsay Gresham's novel of the same name. Already in 1947 a film based on the same book had been released and directed by Edmund Goulding. Del Toro's is a highly anticipated psychological thriller also for the names that make up the cast: Bradley Cooper, Cate Blanchett, Toni Collette, Willem Dafoe, Richard Jenkins, Rooney Mara, Ron Perlman and David Strathairn. The story is that of a carousel (Bradley Cooper) of an amusement park, who is also a scammer and a manipulator.


February 3 - Moonfall

A disaster movie signed by the director of 'Independence Day', Roland Emmerich. An unknown force threatens the Earth by sending the Moon on a collision course with our planet. A few weeks before the impact, former NASA astronaut Jo Fowler is convinced she knows how to save the world, but her theory is supported only by astronaut friend Brian Harper and conspiracy theorist K. C. Houseman.


February 17 - Uncharted

Venom director Ruben Fleischer also directed Uncharted, out in Italy on February 17. The film is the first film adaptation of the Naughty Dog video game series. The film tells the adventures of treasure hunter Nathan Drake, played by Tom Holland, who recently took on the role of Spider Man.

The Uncharted protagonist is looking for his older brother and meets Victor Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg), who will help him find him. The two end up on a desert island, where the mythical treasure of the explorer Ferdinand Magellan is said to be kept. But they will find that they are not the only ones looking for the loot.


March 3 - The Batman

March 3 - Cyrano

The film is signed by Joe Wright, the director of Darkest Hour (2017). It was filmed in early October 2020 in Sicily and tells the story of one of the most famous love triangles of all time. Cyrano de Bergerac (Peter Dinklage) is good with both words and the art of the sword but doesn't dare to declare his feelings to Roxanne (Haley Bennet), disheartened by his physical appearance. The woman fell in love at first sight with Christian (Kelvin Harrison) who, in turn struck by the girl, asks Cyrano for help to conquer her.

March 24 - Downtown Abbey 2

The protagonist is Joaquin Phoenix, as a middle-aged journalist who learns how to take care of a child for the first time. Also in the cast are Gaby Hoffmann, Scoot McNairy and Woody Norman.


April 8 - Ambulance

A thriller directed by Michael Bay. Veteran Will Sharp (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) needs money for some medical treatment for his ailing wife and seeks help from his adoptive brother, Danny (Jake Gyllenhaal), a criminal who offers him a $ 32 million hit. Accepted the offer, the plans of the two become complicated and, in desperation, they seize an ambulance with an injured policeman and an experienced paramedic (Eiza González) on board.


April 13 - Fantastic Beasts - Dumbledore's secrets

The film is directed by David Yates and is the third in the Harry Potter prequel saga.
